Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, including budget management, expense project development, and leadership of the maintenance team. They ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations, while championing preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment uptime.
Essential Functions
- Develop, analyze, and control Maintenance O&C budgets/costs.
- Prioritize Expense Projects for approvals and execution.
- Provide leadership to build a high-performing maintenance team, fostering conflict resolution and Core Value initiatives.
- Champion preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, plant procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in planning processes and budget development, contributing to long and short-term maintenance planning.
- Assist in planning and coordinating significant construction and maintenance projects.
- Drive effective prioritization of field work and implementation of optimization recommendations.
- Mentor and coach maintenance staff, recommend training and development.
- Conduct audits to ensure process performance and regulatory compliance.
- Provide oversight for maintenance contractor performance and selection.
- Assist with employee Operator Qualification (OQ) Evaluations and DOT compliance audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications & Experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a HS Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- 1 or more years’ experience in Terminals, Tanks, Loading, and pipelines operations and maintenance.
- 3 or more years working with maintenance processes.
- Willingness to work overtime, outdoors, occasionally in harsh weather conditions, and travel up to 50% of the time
Skills & Knowledge
- Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and planning software.
- Knowledge of field pipeline and terminal operations, rotating equipment, and reading P&ID’s.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of valve, piping, and pipeline equipment.
- Experience working with DOT regulations.
Physical Requirements
Able to safely perform strenuous physical activities such as lifting, bending, and climbing stairs.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position may involve outdoor work in challenging weather conditions, requiring adaptability and resilience to varying climates. Additionally, the role entails extensive travel, with up to 50% of the time spent on the move. This necessitates flexibility and a willingness to work in diverse locations, ensuring efficient operations and maintenance across different environments.
